To begin, this year the boys varsity baseball team headed into play offs. They played best out of three games against Horizon and lost the first game 3-7. The second day they lost 14-1, this concluded their season.

“Going into playoffs is always a great feeling. Especially since baseball isn’t big here. We’ve been working hard to get to this point and we don’t want to stop.” Senior Darian Smith said. “It’s fun to be a part of this and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Without my coaches and my teammates this year would have been a lot different and would most likely not have been good.”

Although their season was not extended as they hoped to go further, they worked for everything they got. They stuck together motivating and hustling every play they made for eachother.

“It all fell to an end but I wouldn’t trade anything for the season I had with these guys! I am going to miss this team a lot because they have always drove me to play my best and we all just had a really good connection,” sophmore Julius Ryan said.

Furthermore, they may not have gone further into play offs but know themselves that they played with their heart and were at least happy to have gotten the opportunity to finish the season strong.

“We have fun, and thats the most important thing,” Darian said.
